Induction Motor Calculations Program – Examples
This video presents how to use SimPhase Induction Motor Calculations (IMC) Program.
SimPhase IMC Program can calculate the slip and all the other steady-state conditions of an induction motor for any combination of mechanical loading and stator voltage.
In this video the (IMC) Program is run 4 times with the same motor.
1- Constant load torque (95% of full-load torque). Stator voltage = 1.0 pu
2- Constant load torque (95% of full-load torque). Stator voltage = 0.9 pu
3- Variable load torque. Stator voltage = 1.0 pu
4- Variable load torque. Stator voltage = 0.9 pu
The effects on the input powers, the power factor, the losses, the efficiency are examined.
In the 4 simulations, the motor has no speed control.
